• Maka BMR Mary dapat kita hitung dengan cara :
• Estimasi jumlah energi yang dibebaskan tiap liter O2 4,825 Kal /L
• TV 300 ml
• RR 10 x/m
• Kandungan O2 18%TV
• Dead Space volume : 150 ml
• 300 x 18 % = 54 ml O2 contain
• 54 x 10 = 540 ml / menit
• 540 ml – 150 ml = 350 ml
• 350 ml : 1000 L = 0,35 L/m
• 0,35 x 60 = 21 L/jam
• 21 x 24 = 504 L/24 jam
• 504 x 4,825 = 2431.8 Kal/24 jam
